Technology & Construction
What’s inside a Liberty ski?
Liberty skis are built using advanced materials and layups tailored to each series. Here are a few key technologies:
- Precision Core (Radian, Horizon): A high-performance mix of poplar and ash wood, full-length carbon fiber, and variable Titanal metal underfoot for grip and dampening without compromising playfulness.
- Recoil Core (Scope): Lightweight poplar, e-glass/carbon fiber, and a phenolic plate for responsiveness and binding retention.
Do your skis use metal?
Yes — select models feature Titanal metal underfoot. This adds edge grip and stability while keeping the ski playful in tip and tail zones.
What kind of base do Liberty skis use?
We use Isosport sintered bases (IS7500 or IS7200) for fast glide and excellent wax retention. They're diecut or transparent depending on the model.
What about edges and finish?
All skis feature ultra-durable German steel edges and arrive with a factory wax from VOLA and a high-performance European base tune, so you’re ready to ride right out of the wrapper.

Product & Fit
What size skis should I get?
That depends on your height, weight, ability, and where you like to ski. Taller, more aggressive skiers might size up for stability, while newer or lighter skiers may prefer something a little shorter. Check out our Ski Finder or reach out — we’re happy to help dial it in.
Which bindings should I use?
We recommend choosing a binding that matches your skiing style and DIN requirements. Any alpine binding from a reputable brand will work with our skis, unless otherwise specified.
Do you mount bindings before shipping?
Our used demo skis come with demo bindings mounted. They must be setup by a certified technician after purchase.
All other flat skis must be mounted by a certified technician based on your exact boot sole length, skier type, and preferred mount point.
Where should I mount my bindings?
Each ski has a recommended mount point, clearly marked on the topsheet. We suggest sticking to that unless you have a strong preference or specific reason to mount forward or back. Your shop tech can help guide you.
What drill bit should my shop use to mount Liberty skis?
Ø3.5x9.5mm for all 2026 Skis. Except for the Scope 84, which we recommend a Ø3.5x9mm bit.
For Legacy Models including the Origin, Genesis, and Helix we recommend a Ø3.5x9mm bit.
Ski Tuning & Maintenance
Nope — every pair of Liberty skis comes with a VOLA factory wax and a professional Montana finish, ready to ride straight out of the wrapper.
Manufacturing
Where are Liberty skis made?
All Liberty skis are designed, tested, and prototyped in Avon, Colorado, and built with trusted manufacturing partners in Europe and Asia, depending on the series.
What makes Liberty skis different?
We blend high-performance materials like carbon fiber, Titanal metal, and bamboo with thoughtful construction methods tailored to each ski series. Our precision wood cores and sidewall technologies are built for power, play, and long-term durability.
