Designed in the Colorado Rockies and hand-crafted in a small Canadian village, the Backcountry series is a game-changer for those who want to enjoy terrain without lift access. Our team has honed the series to excellence at every step of production, from the time our Aspen trees are selected from Great White North to testing on steep, secret, alpine descents in the PNW. Designed, manufactured, and tested in North America by and for skiers, and without compromising the all-mountain performance of the acclaimed Genesis design, we shaved off crucial grams with an Aspen/carbon fiber core, two-piece, partial metal edge, and a skin-friendly tail insert. Enjoy lightness on the ups and stability to rip the downs.

I have spent plenty of time and money searching for a backcountry ski that was light, yet stable. The Genesis BC is by far the best of the many skis I have tried. This ski travels uphill with little effort, but offers a stable and controllable ride on the way down. It floats through powder and charges through variable conditions. I feel confident bringing the Genesis along for whatever terrain a tour may provide. I would recommend this ski to anyone who is just getting into the backcountry and to those who have spent many days touring. Just be prepared for plenty of compliments on how pretty they are!
