Best Demo Setups for East Coast Skiers

If you ski on the East Coast, you already know the conditions can change fast. One day you’re ripping hardpack groomers, the next you’re skiing chopped-up snow, spring slush, or getting lucky with a fresh storm cycle. That’s why finding the right ski matters so much around here.

For us, the best East Coast skis are the ones that can handle a little bit of everything — strong edge hold, quick edge-to-edge feel, and enough versatility to still be fun when conditions soften up.

We’ve spent a ton of time on the 2026 lineup, and these are some of our favorite demo setups for East Coast skiers right now.

1. Best Frontside-Focused Option

The Horizon 87 is the ski for someone who spends most of their day on groomers but still wants something playful and easy to ski. At 87 underfoot, it transitions edge-to-edge super quickly and feels right at home carving clean turns on firmer snow.

What makes this ski stand out is how accessible it feels. It doesn’t demand perfect technique to have fun on it, but it still has enough backbone to ski aggressively when you want to push it harder.

Best For:

  • Frontside skiers
  • Intermediate to advanced riders
  • Quick carving turns
  • Lighter or more playful skiers

2. Precision + Power

The Radian 92 is one of the strongest East Coast skis in the lineup if you love carving and skiing aggressively. It has a much more directional feel than the Horizon series and really rewards good technique.

This ski likes to be driven from the front of the boot and feels incredibly stable at speed. If you’re someone who enjoys laying trenches on groomers but still wants enough versatility for occasional softer snow, this is a killer setup.

Best For:

  • Advanced skiers
  • High-speed carving
  • Directional skiing style
  • Skiers wanting strong edge hold

3. Lightweight & Nimble

The Scope 94 is a super underrated option for East Coast skiers who want something lightweight and quick without giving up all-mountain capability.

This ski feels energetic and easy to maneuver, making it great for tighter terrain, bumps, trees, and variable conditions. It’s lighter on your feet than the Radian series, which gives it a more playful personality overall.

Best For:

  • Trees and bumps
  • Skiers wanting a lighter setup
  • Playful all-mountain skiing
  • Intermediate to advanced riders
