For many skiers, the Origin96 clocks in on the skinny side. (It debuted in 2017 as the narrowest ski in the Origin series, though this winter welcomes a new 90-centimeter model). But, for flotation and fleet-footedness, the well-rounded Liberty features a full tip and tail rocker, with positive camber underfoot. They have the chops to take on big lines but are ideal for those wanting a quick, easy-to-carve resort ski. It was just stiff enough that I didn’t need to wrestle it into a turn, but it responded well to powerful initiation.

Powder Magazine

Liberty calls the Origin96 “a new all-mountain standard.” That’s a big, ballsy claim for sure, but I can say that I haven’t skied anything that feels terribly similar. Five days in, and it feels like I can make this ski do anything I want it to. Full review here

Testers had lots of praise for the carbon-enhanced, bamboo-cored Origin 96, which rewarded aggressive drivers most: “The harder you push the better; requires some effort in short radius turns,” said one tester. Another called the rocker profile “spot on,” with enough tip rise to float but enough camber to rip firm snow. “The ample early rise in the tip engaged and disengaged at will.”

Ski Magazine

Its versatile width profile is ideal for the skier who’s looking for an everyday driver. The abundance of tech packed inside seals the deal. “Fun in the air, has a lightweight profile, is great for shifties and carves incredibly,” listed one of the many enthused testers. Full review here

Freeskier Magazine

"This is one of several [all-mountain] skis that could also be listed in our "More Stable" section, since the Origin 96 is a fairly light ski that can be skied quite hard for its weight, yet it remains quite forgiving"
