At Liberty Skis, we receive literally thousands of sponsorship requests each year. For obvious reasons, we cannot sponsor everyone. In fact, very few of these requests even receive serious consideration. This is not because we are jerks, but because our standards for sponsorship are indeed quite high.
If you are interested in being sponsored please follow these guidelines. Should you fail to meet our criteria, we ask that you focus on your career as a skier for a few years and wait until you meet our criteria prior to sending us your portfolio or asking for sponsorship.
Liberty generally has two types of sponsorships:
Competition:This support is for athletes who are focused on organized competitions. To be considered for a competition sponsorship, athletes should have at least two years of competitive experience with top ten results at the regional and national levels. Local results are good, but Liberty is looking for demonstrated success, at minimum of the regional level.
Freeride:Liberty’s freeride athletes are expected to show a minimum of three years of committed work with photographers, videographers and other media. Photos should be published at the regional and national level in print media, with videos adhering to the same standard of wide-ranging exposure on the regional and national level. In certain cases, athletes who have demonstrated a high level of personal media creation (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, etc), reaching an exceptional number of viewers, and with sophisticated content, may also be considered for sponsorship.
How to apply for a Sponsorship:
- Compile a complete portfolio of your results, media exposure or other credentials (Remember, that only candidates who have ongoing, demonstrated results will be considered for sponsorship)
- Send a link to your online portfolio or in pdf format to email@example.com
